Volumes in 2021 were exceptionally low, with under one million hectoliters, but the winegrowers have produced fine wines reminiscent of older vintages, with degrees close to those of the 1990s. In the end, the 2021 vintage offers lively wines with delicate aromas that can be enjoyed in their youth.

The wines of the "heat-wave vintage" were highly concentrated from the start thanks to the exceptionally hot and sunny weather conditions and the extraordinarily early harvest that resulted, but elevage has matured them and they are beginning to exhibit the qualities of refinement and distinction that befit Burgundy wines made from the Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.

The growing period was markedly dry. Maturation took place in warm and sunny weather, punctuated by occasional rainstorms. Conditions favoured concentration and made for healthy grapes. Harvesting took place in ideal weather, sunny but fresh.
