After two years of pandemic, the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB) and producers are delighted  to be back to reunite with the american importers, sommeliers, hospitality specialists, and press around Bourgogne wines for a convivial Homecoming. About 20 négociants, caves coopérative and producers will be travelling to the USA to share their wines.

As you know, Bourgogne is rich in its diversity of appellations. For this edition, we wanted to highlight the lesser-known Bourgogne wines, our "hidden treasures." These attractive, promising and accessible wines offer a very good quality-price-pleasure ratio. In particular the Régionale appellations, which represent more than half of the volumes of Bourgogne wines, but also the Village appellations which constitute the core range of Bourgogne wines. Often still under the radar, these appellations represent enormous untapped potential which you’ll be able to taste.

⇒ The BIVB will also be hosting a press conference at 11.15am (45mn) on Tuesday 21 June in New York City, and Thursday 23 June in Los Angeles.

With this year’s press conference theme ‘Bourgogne Wines looks to the future’, the BIVB’s Communication Commission Co-president, Anne Moreau, will offer an insight into the latest objectives for the wine region, with a particular focus on scientific research to safeguard the potential of Bourgogne’s vineyard in the face of climate change.

⇒ The tastings include a walkaround as well as immersive workshops dedicated to Climats of Chablis appellations and (in NY City only) the Bourgogne Aligoté AOC. They will take place*:

  • on Tuesday 21 June, from 12pm to 4pm at Quality Bistro, New York City  (120 W 55th St. NY, NY 10019)
  • on Thursday 23 June, from 12pm to 4pm at East Angel, Los Angeles (670 S Anderson Street, LA 90023)

Open to Wine industry and press only. Must be over 21.
