A sponsorship campaign that echoes loud and clear the values of wine-growing Bourgogne and continues to rally more and more key players around the region.

  • A powerful dynamic for the launch campaign

For the past year and a half, the Campaign Committee, led by its president Benoît de Charette, has focussed much energy around the touristic and cultural beacon that is the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne.
"This is a project that will have a strong impact on our region, a major outreach project, which has inspired lovers of Bourgogne, from wine professionals to provincial and national businesses, as well as gifted amateurs from all over the world", explains Benoît de Charette.
To date, more than 80 patrons have joined this unique adventure, already contributing 4.2 million Euros of the thoroughly realistic target of 5.5 million Euros by the end of 2023. To ensure full transparency on the use of donations received, the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne created an endowment fund in December 2021.

  • A very broad representation

Topping the list of donors are companies from the Bourgogne wine world, of all sizes and geographical origins, that wished to show their strong attachment to this formidable knowledge-sharing project. Beyond this sphere, many other businesses have shown their commitment to the region and to the spirit of openness that characterises this project – foremost among which is Crédit Agricole.
As a world-renowned model of terroir-based viticulture, Bourgogne naturally has a strong international resonance: to date, nearly 10% of funds raised have come from foreign donors, from America and Asia.

  • The Cité is above all a collaborative project

Through its sponsorship campaign, the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne has shown that it is a collaborative project, as Benoît de Charette points out: "This campaign is first and foremost the success of a great mobilisation of key players, women and men who are fully involved. In addition to their the financial contribution, these players are also our ambassadors”.
On the opening of the Cité network, members of the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne Campaign Committee will be pleased to bring together all of their generous donors for exclusive previews, in order to say A BIG THANK YOU.

  • There’s still time join the circle of patrons

This major sponsorship campaign continues until 31st December, 2023. It is therefore still possible to commit to the Cité des Climats et vins de Bourgogne and thus be involved in its creation, in order to:

- Become part of the fascinating history of Bourgogne
- Share with future generations a unique living heritage
- Forge a special bond with those who make Bourgogne what it is: its history, its savoir-faire, its unique characteristics

Let's continue this fabulous human, cultural and historic adventure together!
