The annual Bourgogne Week is getting ready for Hong Kong!

From 24/02/2020 to 29/02/2020

Discover Mâcon plus and Bourgogne plus geographical denomination

Once again, Bourgogne wines is starting the Chinese New Year with a focus on the 2018 vintage and the lesser-known appellations on this market, such as Bourgogne and Mâcon AOCs plus a geographical denomination.

The Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB) initiated this promotion and encourages all stakeholders in the market to get involved and organize events (such as dinners with Bourgogne winemakers, tastings, and restaurant promotions). All these events will be listed and widely promoted in BIVB communication, notably on the dedicated Bourgogne Week Hong Kong website (online early February).

The BIVB is also hosting its own events to bring together importers, the media and market influencers around Bourgogne wines:

  • One Day for Bourgogne Wines (February 26)

The week’s flagship event is being held for the fifth year running. The BIVB is inviting importers to present to the press and to professionals (wine merchants, sommeliers, importers) their latest wines due to come to market in May, for the most part from the amazing 2018 and 2017 vintages. This is an opportunity for the media to gain a first impression and for influencers to discover some of the lesser-known appellations, in particular the appellations Bourgogne and Mâcon, the stars of this edition.
By invitation only. Contact us for more information.

Highly anticipated after its good reception at the Bourgogne Week London, the 2018 vintage will thus be making its first steps into Asia. However, in addition to London, some older vintages will also be in the spotlight for this market of enthusiasts.

  • Chablis White Cocktail (27 February)

Promoted by the Wines of Chablis for industry professionals in Hong Kong, the White Cocktail is the other highlight of the week. Painted in the colors of spring and wrapped in the conviviality specific to Bourgogne wines, the evening will explore the Petit Chablis and Chablis appellations, with an emphasis on food and wine pairings.

Besides the creation of a dedicated website, the visibility of these events will be boosted on social media via the hashtag #BourgogneWeek. Follow Bourgogne wines (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) and Chablis (Twitter et Instagram).
