Obituary - Louis-Fabrice Latour


 BIVB / - Bourgogne wine industry lost one of its pillas.

The former President of the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB), Louis-Fabrice Latour, passed away  on 5 September 2022.

All the BIVB members are deeply saddened by the loss of this great man.

Among his many roles, Louis-Fabrice Latour was President of the BIVB between 2013 and 2021. His commitment to the protection and promotion of Bourgogne wines, his contagious enthusiasm, and his dynamism made a huge contribution to the reputation of the Bourgogne region and its wines, both in France and around the world.

Born on 29 February 1964 in Beaune (Côte d'Or), died on 5 September 2022 in Beaune.
Married in 1995, 4 children
Education: Sciences Politiques (S.P. Paris, 1985)

1988: Paribas
1989: Joined Maison Louis Latour
July 1999: Becomes Chairman of the Management Board of Maison Louis Latour (founded in 1797). Represents the 11th generation.

2003/2014: President of the Syndicat des Négociants-Eleveurs de Grande Bourgogne (FNEB).
Ex-officio member of the BIVB Board of Presidents

2011/2014: President of the Federation of Wine and Spirits Exporters (FEVS)

2013/2021: President of the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB)

Member of the Boards of VINEXPO and the Banque de France in Dijon.

Associations - Clubs: Member of the Association des Hénokiens (Bicentennial Family Businesses). Knight of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. Knight of the Legion of Honour (2011).
