To find out all you need to know about the Santenay AOC, check out the latest edition of the interactive “Rendezvous with Bourgogne Wines” show, that will be coming to you live on 31 May. Screenings will be hosted for taste-makers in nine territories around the world
Each broadcast of “Rendezvous with Bourgogne Wines” reaches hundreds of wine professionals around the world, who share their passion for Bourgogne wines through this convivial and educational experience.
May’s show will be dedicated to the Village appellation of Santenay, located on the Côte de Beaune and producing mainly red wines from the Pinot Noir grape. The appellation covers 328 hectares (48 of which are white) and 123 that are classified as
Premier Cru (including 13 that are white).
The show lasts for one hour, during which audiences can deepen their knowledge of the appellations that make up the diversity of the Bourgogne winegrowing region.
• The first 20 minutes are spent presenting them through reportages and interviews with winegrowers.
• The second part of the show offers
a live tasting of six wines, hosted by Jean-Pierre Renard, enologist and trainer at the
École des Vins de Bourgogne. Participants can send in their questions throughout the show via
Twitter, using the hashtag #BIVBRDV, and Jean-Pierre Renard will respond live.
To take part in this interactive training module,
professionals should contact their local BIVB Official Bourgogne Wine Instructor, who will host the screening, followed by a simultaneous tasting of the same wines Jean-Pierre Renard will be discussing on-screen.
The BIVB’s network of Official Bourgogne Wine Instructors ensures a global reach for the show, screenings of which will be hosted in nine territories: Belgium, Canada, Germany, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Norway, South Korea, the UK, and the USA.
The show will run five times throughout the day, in English at 9:00am, 11:00am, 6:00pm, and 10:00pm; and in French at 4:00pm. All times are UTC+2.
