The Hospices Civils de Beaune are organizing this auction in collaboration with Sotheby’s, the world leader in wine auctions. It will auction 52 cuvées divided into 34 red wines, 18 white wines and two cuvées of eaux-de-vie. Will be offered across 552 lots, featuring: 428 barrels of red wines and 111 barrels (110 plus two half barrels) of white wines. With the addition of the unique Presidents’ Barrel and 11 barrels of the eaux-de-vie, the sale comprises 551 barrels in total.
The charity lot known as the “Piece des Présidents” is for the first time a Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru, Cuvée François Faiveley, which will be sold to benefit for two associations : the EHCO association and the Robert Debré Children's Brain Institute. Both of which will be represented at the sale by luminaries from France’s celebrated film and music industry: actress Alice Taglioni, director Cédric Klapisch and DJ Martin Solveig.
- 2 to 5:30pm: The “Roi Chambertin” tasting at the Tonnellerie Rousseau (BY INVITATION ONLY)
This tasting is organized exclusively for journalists, wine experts, and wine industry professionals (invitation request: Fabienne Nicot - event@odg-gevrey.fr).
- 5:45 to 7pm: Tastevinage Majors Ceremony at the Château du Clos de Vougeot (BY INVITATION ONLY)
Organized as a tasting event, this occasion allows professionals from the wine industry, restaurateurs, sommeliers, buyers, and specialized journalists to discover the wines recognized by the Jury receiving the MAJOR title. Click here for more information about the Tastevinage.
Considered the oldest wine event to date, the Fête des Grands Vins de Bourgogne attracts more and more visitors each year. It provides a unique opportunity to taste all the Bourgogne wine appellations in one location, discovering the latest vintages.

- 10 to 11:30am - Joint press conference of the Hospices de Beaune and the Bourgogne Wine Board - Halles de Beaune, place de l'Hôtel Dieu
An opportunity to present the 2025 vintage, review the economic situation of the industry, introduce the associations sponsored by the Piece des Présidents, and discuss the Hospices de Beaune estate and its projects.
