Domaine Rion Jean Charles

Us*

The Jean-Charles Rion estate, which today covers 9.5 hectares, moved to the family property in Premeaux-Prissey in August 2023 and now offers 6 new red appellations: Nuit saint Georges village and premier cru, Vosne-Romanée village and premier cru, Clos de Vougeot and Echezeaux. The estate practises integrated vinegrowing to limit inputs and produce exquisite AOP wines that are faithful to the terroir. Yields are deliberately limited and the grapes are hand-picked and meticulously sorted, guaranteeing quality berries. Vinification takes place in open stainless steel vats, with temperatures strictly monitored during alcoholic fermentation. Maceration varies from 15 days to 3 weeks depending on the appellation and the vintage, and precedes ageing in oak barrels for 12 months for the red wines, the white Bourgogne Hautes Côtes de Nuits and the Nuits-Saint-Georges premier cru blanc Les Terres Blanches (pinot blanc).
