Domaine Gallois

Us*

Established in Gevrey-Chambertin since 1901, Domaine Gallois is an estate on a human scale.
The family estate cultivates 4 hectares, each of which is home to 7 different appellations.
All the Burgundy hierarchy can be found here: Bourgogne Côte d'Or, Gevrey-Chambertin 'La Justice' and 'Vieilles Vignes', Gevrey-Chambertin 1er
cru 'Combe aux Moines', Gevrey-Chambertin 1er 'Les Goulots', Gevrey-Chambertin 1er 'Les Petits Cazetiers' and a Grand Cru Charmes-Chambertin.
Dominique Gallois had been at the helm of the estate since 1989, when he began selling bottled wines.
In 2022, the adventure continued with his wife Sophie, who joined him on the estate and now runs it.
Respect and modesty: that's the estate's philosophy:
Respect for the environment, for the nature of the terroir that is the envy of the world, and Modesty, because the best winemaker
doesn't produce a great wine if he doesn't help nature to give him beautiful grapes.
The age of the vines, the care given to each vine by the in-house team and the low, controlled yields all contribute to the quality we strive for.
quality, revealing the finest characteristics of Pinot Noir.
Pinot noir is a fabulous revealer that captures the subtle nuances of our terroir, expressing all its originality and uniqueness.
An enthusiast of "non-interventionism", the wine must convey the true taste of the terroir.
Here, each wine expresses as closely as possible the originality of the place where it was born, its climate.
The estate produces powerful, well-balanced, well-structured wines with deep, rich colours.
The complex aromatic palette is enhanced by a beautiful intensity.
Extraction is perfectly controlled, and the melting of the tannins makes for silky, particularly elegant wines.
As we love our Burgundy, we're keen to help you discover it by offering wine-tourism meetings by appointment.
