Wine-growing estate within a 13th-century stately home. The Domaine du Château de la Velle produces 11 appellations between Beaune to Meursault. The growing methods are environmentally friendly, the aim being to produce a wine redolent of its "terroir".
The Chateau de la Velle is a listed monument.
Bread is made regularly in the ancient oven.
The old wine press, also listed, is the venue for wine-tasting sessions.
