Description Marsannay
Marsannay is the village that marks the northern entrance to the Côte d'Or when you leave Dijon, the capital of Burgundy and home of the Dukes of Burgundy. It also marks the beginning of the route des Grands Crus which follows the A6 motorway through the Côte d'Or. These wines have a reputation for being lively and robust, characteristics that they derive from an iron-rich soil. The wines of Marsannay were classified as Appellation Contrôlée in 1987.
