Domaine Château de Viviers

Us*

Château de Viviers is based in the Chablis region.
In pursuit of excellence for 800 years, this Burgundy estate was created in the 12th century by Cistercian monks. As its reputation grew, it was bought in 1399 by the royal cupbearer Jean Budé.
The wine from Château de Viviers was served at the wedding of Louis XIV. The present Château was built in 1628 by a musketeer very close to the Queen.
After a 75-year hiatus due to phylloxera and the 14-18 war, the estate was reborn in 1978. The story continues in 2019 with Arnould and Isabelle Lefébure, Franco-Belgians, who take over the Château and run it entirely organically and biodynamically, with 3 pillars: Quest for excellence, Biodiversity and History.
A land of hospitality and the art of the French table with its guest rooms, Viviers wants to work with you to breathe new life into its exceptional terroirs, protect its beautiful landscapes and share its wines for greater enjoyment.
