Founded in 1820, the Albert Morot estate embodies the spirit of Beaune’s great terroirs.
Across 8 hectares cultivated using organic farming methods, the estate produces pure, distinguished wines from iconic climats such as Bressandes, Grèves, Teurons, Marconnets, Cent-Vignes, Toussaints and Aigrots.
The estate also tends to a rare gem: the Clos de la Bataillère, a monopole of around 2 hectares in Savigny-Vergelesses 1er cru.
A limited production of Pommard, Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Bourgogne Chardonnay and Pinot Noir rounds off the estate’s range.
In 2023, the family-run group led by Guillaume and Sophie Poitrinal acquired this historic estate, driven by a desire to blend heritage with modernity. To optimise every stage of the winemaking process for great wines, major modernisation work was carried out in the winery and at the château.
The new owners called upon Rhône-based winemaker Pierre-Jean Villa to take charge of the estate’s future and breathe new life into it.
