GERMANY - 3-day intensive seminar about Bourgogne

From 30/01/2024 to 01/02/2024

GERMANY - 3-day intensive seminar about Bourgogne

3 days of learning about one of the most exciting wine regions in the world in collaboration wity the Bourgogne wine Board (BIVB).

Bourgogne is THE reference region for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Over 2000 years of viticultural history, a unique terroir landscape and the savoir-faire of the wine producers captivates wine lovers and connoisseurs.

84 appellations, many small-scale producers, small parcels, Climats and the importance of the négociants in Bourgogne provide enough material for the 3 days course.

The course is moderated by Bourgogne Wine Ambassador Ina Finn. A "voluntary" final test gives the opportunity to put the acquired knowledge to the test and conclude with a certificate.

The contents of the course days refer to: historical background / Bourgogne - wine trade / terroir, geology and soil / climate / white & red grape varieties / viticulture / wine styles / vinification of white & red wine / detailed presentation of the five regions of Bourgogne and presentation of appellations and classification / final exam.

Wines from all quality levels will be tasted (Régionale Appellation, Village, Village 1er Cru, Grand Cru).

During the 3 days of the course we will taste at least 50 wines (some of them offered by the BIVB).

Course duration: from 9:00 to 16:30 each day
