With more than 3700 hectares under production, Chablis is the largest and best-known appellation of its region. It is also the largest village appellation of Bourgogne. The terroirs of the Chablis AOC appellation arise from the nature of their soil, but also because of the orientation of their vineyards, their exposition to the sun, and the particularities of their climate. These multiple factors lie at the heart of the lovely diversity of Chablis wines.
