The JACOB estate in Ladoix-Serrigny has been a wine-producing family estate for four generations.
It is located in the heart of the Côte-d'Or vineyards of Bourgogne, in the commune of Ladoix-Serrigny, the first village north of the Côte de Beaune appellation and south of the Côte de Nuits.
Two brothers, Robert and Raymond Jacob, inherited the domain from their father Maxime in 1983. In 2006, Raymond's son Damien replaced Robert, which means that the Jacob estate is now a father-son affair.
The estate boasts 12 hectares of vines which cover 11 different AOCs (Controlled Origin Appellation).
The Jacob estate's great richness comes thanks to its location at the foot of the majestic Corton slope as well as its having several of the best plots on the hill's southeast side. This magnificent 350-metre slope overlooks the three neighbouring villages of Ladoix, Aloxe-Corton and Pernand-Vergelesses.
