A film to discover the unique bond between winemakers and their vineyards in Bourgogne
This short film named “The People and the Vine” is the first part of a diptych called “Winemaker in Bourgogne, an artisanal craft”. It focuses on the unique relationship between winemakers and their vineyards.

Directed by the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB), Bourgogne Live and Ludovic Caillot (specialist of graphic animation), this movie aim to show the everyday life of our winemakers, their know-how and gestures…

The film uses real-life winegrowers, not actors, who agreed to be filmed at work over the seasons as testimony to their unique know-how, to capture every of their gesture, according to the plant cycle. This unique bond between people and the land is what lies behind the wines of Bourgogne.

However this video is not just a learning tool, but has been edited as much as an ode to wonderment.

The second part, “The People and the Wine”, concentrating on the grapes, is currently being filmed. It will be delivered for spring 2019.
