As the first highlight of the Hospices de Beaune Wine Auction weekend, the Trophées Jeunes Talents (Young Wine Talent Awards) once again showcased the next generation of winegrowers and winemakers. Organized by the Groupe des Jeunes Professionnels de la Vigne et du Vin (GJPV), the event honored seven winemakers.
The candidates, all under 40 years old or settled for less than five years, were evaluated blind on three wines from their 2023 vintage. The jury of 60 wine professionals relied on the expertise of two prestigious patrons for this 37th edition: Daniela Paris, sommelier, Italian importer and writer, and Benoît Laly, wine merchant in Autun and silver medalist at the Meilleur Caviste de France competition.
