Description *: For two days, Chablis will become the meeting place for 45 producers from France’s leading vineyards, the majority of whom practise organic, biodynamic or low-intervention viticulture.

On Sunday 19 and Monday 20 July 2026, Chablis will host the first edition of the Les Belles Rencontres wine fair, a unique event bringing together 45 wine estates from across France based on an original concept: each winemaker invites another winemaker to share their stand and their story.

Behind this project are five winemaker friends from the Yonne region, who have come together to form the association Les Belles Rencontres. Their aim is to create an intimate wine fair where encounters between producers and wine lovers are just as important as the tastings themselves.
The fair will bring together estates from France’s main wine-growing regions: Burgundy, Champagne, the Loire, the Rhône, Beaujolais, the Jura and Languedoc-Roussillon, alongside an artisanal cider producer and a craft brewer. This diversity will allow visitors to take a journey through France’s wine regions without leaving Chablis.

The majority of the producers taking part are committed to organic or biodynamic farming methods, or to viticultural practices that respect the soil, biodiversity and the expression of the terroir. More than just a wine-tasting event, Les Belles Rencontres aims to showcase a generation of winemakers dedicated to producing vibrant wines.
The concept of pairing is what makes the event unique: behind each pairing lies a story of friendship, mentorship, camaraderie or mutual discovery. Visitors will thus be able to meet not only the producers, but also experience the human bonds that unite them.

Beyond the tastings, the event will feature a range of activities allowing visitors to explore the Chablis vineyards in a friendly and festive atmosphere. Food trucks will offer high-quality catering with both meat-based and vegetarian options. Electric scooter rides will also allow visitors to explore the vineyards surrounding the estate and enjoy Chablis’s iconic landscapes.

“We wanted to create an event that reflects who we are: warm, open and based on sharing. Behind every bottle lies a story, and behind every guest estate, a wonderful encounter.”
