Description *: Do you know what happens after the harvest?

If you'd like to discover the post-harvest atmosphere and slip into the shoes of a winegrower for half a day, we've got a nugget for you: discover what it's like to work in a winery after the harvest.

The Domaine de la Cozanne (25 minutes from Beaune), which runs a newly planted family vineyard on the ideally sunny slopes of the Hautes Cotes de Beaune, in Nolay and Cormot-Vauchignon, opens its doors to you.

Véronique, Étienne and their children will share with you the secrets of making their whites and reds from the best Burgundy terroirs, using Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes and a specific and innovative method of ageing, notably using a Coccio pesto amphora, Beaune eggs and foudres. A half-day of immersion, from vine to glass!

On the programme: presentation of the estate, tour of the vineyard with explanations of the harvesting process, density measurement test (using a traditional densimeter), analysis reading, development curve, tasting and ageing methods, discovery of the local heritage and presentation of their Carnot cuvée concocted for the bicentenary in Nolay.

There's no doubt that the winemaker's work will hold no secrets for you!

Burgundy is all about conviviality: your half-day ends with a winemaker's meal accompanied by wines from the estate.

Tickets are now available, but don't forget to book - places are limited!
