Description *: The result of the marriage of the Fête du Crémant and the Tape-Chaudrons is a colourful event that's unique in France!

16 March 2024 will once again mark the Fête du Tape-Chaudrons in Châtillon-sur-Seine!
This is a tradition that goes back more than 1500 years, when our ancestors went out in costume in the streets of the town to chase away the winter and celebrate the arrival of spring by banging their cauldrons!
It's a folk tradition that continues to enliven the town every year, much to the delight of youngsters and nostalgic old-timers alike.

For the past 24 years, the winegrowers of the Châtillonnais region have been getting together to show the general public their region, their trade and their product!
Between the Route des Grands Crus de Bourgogne and the Route du Champagne, come and criss-cross the 120 km of vineyards in the 23 communes with A.O.C. status.
Meet passionate producers and discover the secrets of this effervescent elixir!

ON THE PROGRAMME :

-10am to 12pm: Crémant Village - sales and tasting
10am to 12pm: Carnival make-up workshop - Free of charge
-10.30am to 11am: Folk dance by the company La Bourguignonne
-10.00 am to 12.00 pm: Workshop and activities on the art of cooperage
-12.00 pm to 12.30 pm: Folk dance by the Portuguese company ULFE

-2.00 pm to 2.30 pm: Concert by the Lyre Châtillonnaise
-2.30pm to 4pm: Tape-Chaudrons parade
3.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.: Barrel-building competition
-3.00 p.m. to 3.30 p.m.: Folk dance by the company La Bourguignonne - Place de la Résistance
-3.30pm to 4.00pm: Folk dance by the Portuguese company ULFE - Place de la Ville du Puy
-4.00 pm to 4.30 pm: Presentation of the floats
-5.00 p.m. to 5.30 p.m.: Burning of Mister Carnival
-6.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m.: Concert by Tio Pepe
