The story of Maison Boyer-de Bar, founded in 2018 in Meursault, was born of the friendship and shared vision of two passionate winemakers: Emmanuel Lucas de Bar and Vincent Boyer. Emmanuel, whose family tradition dates back to the 15th century in the Languedoc region, grew up in the heart of the vineyards. In 2003, he joined his grandmother to manage the family estate, where he perfected his approach to working with the soil and Mediterranean grape varieties.
Vincent, for his part, represents the fourth generation of Burgundy winemakers at Meursault. After taking over the family estate in 2002, he converted it to organic viticulture and enriched his winemaking practices thanks to his experiences in California and Australia, introducing in particular prolonged ageing in the vats.
