Take part in the next Chablis Wine Competition…

This year, as a nod to the looming Brexit, the Chablis Wine Competition will be presided over by Tim Atkin, Master of Wine, a world-renowned wine critic.

The jury for this competition is made up of 80 journalists, restaurateurs, sommeliers, brokers, enologists and keen amateur wine-lovers. One key rule is that producers and négociants from Chablis are not allowed to judge wines that might be their own.
The competition will discern awards for the Petit Chablis, Chablis, and Chablis Premier Cru appellations of the 2017 vintage, and Chablis Grand Cru of the 2016 vintage.

The selection takes place in two stages: The samples which obtain the best scores in the first stage across all tasters then go before a super-jury, which then decides on the medal-winners.

Every year, only around 10% of the wines submitted obtain the prestigious medal.
The winning wines are then used throughout the year by the BIVB during its promotional operations in France and abroad.
With this medal, the wines become true ambassadors of Chablis.
