Vintage 2018
François Labet, President of the Bourgogne Wine Board, starts the Bourgogne wines trade press conference with the evocation of the 2018 vintage "that we consider ideal". He announces the estimated volume of the harvest (1.8 million hectoliters), before describing the wines.

Economic assessment for Bourgogne Wines in 2018
Frédéric Drouhin, President of the FNEB (wine merchants family), dedicates his intervention to the balance sheet of sales of Bourgogne wines in the first 8 months of 2018 and is exercising a certain prospective for 2019. He mentioned in particular the case of Brexit, the (excellent) relationship with the USA, the good effects of the free trade agreement with Canada and the evolution of the Chinese market.

Cité des vins et des Climats de Bourgogne
Louis-Fabrice Latour, Co-President of the Bourgogne Wine Board (BIVB),
takes stock of the progress of this major project that will structure the wine tourism offer in Bourgogne for a long time. In Mâcon and Chablis, the project management team (architect and scenographer) is now in place. For Beaune, the call for tender will be launched very quickly by the City Council, for a laying of the foundation stone in late 2019.
The opening of the 3 sites is scheduled for spring 2021.
The BIVB’s role involves overseeing the project which will be managed through a subsidiary, a status allowing it to benefit from patronage.

Regional Charter “Terroir and Territory: A Commitment for the Future”
Thiébault Huber, President de la CAVB (winemakers’ family), delighted with the last two vintages harvested in Bourgogne (2017 and 2018) announces that 2019 will be the year of the turn for the implementation of the Regional Charter “Terroir and Territory: A commitment for the future”. After the signing of this Charter in 2017, 2018 was the year of information and communication, but also the state of play and the testing of new practices. In 2019, "we will have to take the 4,500 Bourgogne winegrowers to change their practices”.
