The Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin reveals the twelve 2019 Majors

Each year, since 2017, the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin, which brings together some 12,000 members worldwide, unveils a new crop of Tastevinage Majors: a selection of wines chosen from the Tastevinage jury’s own ‘coups de Coeur’, or ‘favourites’. The Majors is a distinction of excellence awarded in recognition of the quality of the wine and the savoir-faire of its producer. As the Hospices de Beaune wine auction on November 17th approaches, this is an excellent time to put together a case of six red and six white wines, all of them truly exceptional.

The 2019 Majors awards ceremony took place on Thursday November 14th at the Château du Clos de Vougeot, Mecca of traditional Burgundy gastronomy and seat of the Confrérie du Tastevin.
The jury’s twelve Coups de Coeur, selected from the 1,215 wines presented at the previous two Tastevinage sessions, were revealed before an invited audience of wine-industry professionals, restaurateurs, sommeliers, buyers, journalists and representatives from the Confrérie’s international sub-branches.
