A First in Brazil for Burgundy Wines

Brazil is currently one of the markets with the greatest growth potential for Burgundy wines. Sales rose by almost 50% by value in 2011.
For the first time, the Burgundy Wine Board (BIVB) is partnering the Wine Tour organised by the Burgundy Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry. A delegation of Burgundy producers will meet the trade and journalists in Sao Paulo (17 April) and Rio (19 April).
A training seminar on the basic notions of Burgundy wines will be organised by the BIVB in every town. These will be held by Jean-Pierre Renard, instructor at the Burgundy Wine School.
In the afternoon, the journalists will have specific time set aside for meetings and interviews with the Burgundy spokesperson.
